Another interesting thing I learned about India was the land marks. There were so many interesting places I went to in India such as the Taj Mahal. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a love tribute builds taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, of marble to his wife. My dad told me that after they built the Taj Mahal, Shah Jahan cut off the hands of all the workers who had worked on it so they would not try to build something as beautiful as Taj Mahal. The Gateway of India another place I went to, and it’s built with yellow stone in Indo-sarcenic. The Gateway of India is the starting point for most tourists who want to explore the city, because it’s by the sea where they can get onto one of the bubbling little motor launches for a short cruise through Bombay’s natural harbors.
While visiting India also be sure to catch the movie industry, it is one of the biggest money making businesses. India calls its movie industry “Bollywood”. Bollywood has set the record for making so many movies in a year. When we went to the theaters to see a movie it would be packed always, and the tickets would be sold out, so we had to get them from the dealers who sells them as illegally. A lot of the time people buy the illegal tickets because they are cheap.
Bollywood movies are mostly about love stories or family life, and all the movies have to have songs and dances which makes most of the movies a hit. The people of India have this passion for the movies which been around for long time, and I also enjoy watching Hindi Movies.
In conclusion, I think my experience for India was different than I thought it would be, because the culture of the country, the interesting place like Taj Mahal and the movie industry taught me a lot about India. I really enjoyed the trip. I would love to go back next summer to India.
